COMCAST may drop STARZ....

Re: COMCAST may drop STARZ....

If they drop Starz I'll probably drop the TV portion of my bundle.  I love outlander and that's the ONLY reason we have kept the TV portion of it.  If that does happen, I'll be subscribing to the Starz thing and given less to comcast.

Re: COMCAST may drop STARZ....

Paying for STARZ independently is already cheaper than subsribing through Comcast, and you get more channels and the app. Comcast is making a big mistake getting rid of just the subchannels, even if they end of keeping the main channel. Many will just drop STARZ and get it another way.

Re: COMCAST may drop STARZ....

Does that mean they drop it entirely or put it into an extra "package" which you pay extra for like they did with Cinemax and TCM? There needs to be more competition among television providers or something that will bring the prices down and increase the choices they offer. As it is, we pay for many, many channels we never watch, and the ones we DO like, get made "extra" so you have to pay an additional fee for.  I'd like to dump about a hundred channels I don't want and get some of these "extra" channels in their place.

Re: COMCAST may drop STARZ....

Comcast is dropping Starz from program packages: replacing with Epix; and offering Starz for an additional fee of $12 if you really wanted it. I’m considering a new provider, such as FIOS, where I can customize my TV package and have Starz at a lower overall cost. TV, internet and shouldn’t cost over$200 per month and still can’t see all the channels you desire.

Comcast dropping Starz, to give us another movie channel with older movies - like we need that! I watch Starz western encore all the time, they have great shows with no commercials. Epix and Hitz are only going to give us more of the same, we already have enough useless channels. I'm glad Verizon is in my area now, if Starz isn't available, theyre the ones to go to

I read that they will offer Starz for an additional 12.99. They got rid of TCM, now you can get that channel by ordering a sports and entertainment package for 9.99.🤬

Re: COMCAST may drop STARZ....

I decided since Comcast is dropping some premium channels, I would drop my entire premium package. I also dropped my sports package. I am saving a bundle each month.

Re: COMCAST may drop STARZ....

I'm done. It's time to cut the cable. I'm hoping I get an Apple TV for Christmas. I will buy my way out of my contract. I've tried to stay loyal to Comcast for almost 20 years now, but I feel it's only going to get worse with them. There's too competition. In the last year, I have lost CMT, MGM, Cinemax, TCM and now Starz. 👋

They already dropped them. The only channel available is Starz main and if you want it you can pay 12 bucks a month. I've had it with them

Completely agree. If they discontinue Starz im out. Ive always said over the past few years that i was going to drop them but was never really serious about it until they dropped cinemax which was a horrible decision. Now if/when starz goes that will make my decision a whole lot easier.

Re: COMCAST may drop STARZ....

I bet if the people listed on the Comcast site below took a 0.5% pay cut, then we wouldn't be having this problem with Cinemax, TCM, Starz and Encore.
