Acorn TV - only a part of of the shows available?

I was excited to see Comcast offer Acorn TV but disappointed when I susbcribed only to find that, of the 230 shows that are available on my pre-existing acorn.tv web-based service, only 67 (about 25%) are showing up in the Comcast On-Demand Acorn channel.  Am I missing something?

I am having the same issue.  I have 84 Acorn shows available out of the 237 (or something like that) that Acorn's web site lists.  A relative who also signed up this week through Comcast has only 76 Acorn shows available!  I tried to speak to someone at Comcast about the issue but got nowhere.

I'd suggest you check again.  I have many many Acorn TV series (234) and docs and feature films.

Maybe they have updated since they first got the service.

I'm having the same issue - only some episodes are available.

I recently subscribed to Acorn TV specifically to watch Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. However, I do not have access to 10 episodes! Instead, the only viewing options made available are IMG TV which requires a per episode purchase, or Netflix which requires an additional subscription.

I contacted Comcast on 10/29/18 and 11/3/18. Each time they rebooted my connection but were unable to provide access. Each agent also said they would contact Acorn TV on my behalf, however I have not received a call back and still don’t have the access I paid for.

I contacted Acorn directly and hope to receive a response soon.  If this isn't resolved by the end of the month I will cancel my Acorn subscription.

Acorn only has the first two seasons (Series) of Miss Fisher. Netflix has the third season. You can even check the Acorn website and you’ll see that they don’t have the 3rd season. The first two seasons are free if you subscribe to Acorn via Xfinity.

By the way, if the only viewing options showing up for you for the first two seasons is IMG TV, you may not actually be subscribed to Acorn.

I received a response from Acorn regarding the ability to access Season 3 of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries:

"Season 3 is not available through Acorn TV."

This is unacceptable.  Are subscribers expected to investigate the availability of  their preferred programs before signing up? I can't think of any other subscription service that does not provide all episodes of a series they offer. This is extremely deceptive and I am cancelling my Acorn TV subscription immediately and expect a refund from Comcast.

I definitely subscribed to Acorn and am being billed by them.

Yeah I know how you feel about Acorn. I actually subscribed for A Place To Call Home only to find that when a new episode aired in Australia on Sundays, Acorn would make you wait a full week plus one day before they would make the episode available! The series finale aired on October 21 but Acorn did not upload it until October 29. Having no access to live Australia tv, I would have to avoid Twitter spoilers until after it aired on Acorn.

If you’re being billed by Acorn and you subscribed through them, you cannot watch Acorn through Xfinity’s addon subscription. They are standalone subscriptions.

Re: Acorn TV - only a part of of the shows available?

Comcast has been carrying ACORN on demand for close to one year now and I have found that at least 20% of the shows carried on the ACORN web version are not available on Comcast on demand.  This includes entire shows, seasons of shows, and episodes of shows as well as feature type movies.  Yet I am charged the same fee by Comcast.  THESE ARE SHOWS SHOWN AS AVAILABLE/CARRIED ON THE ACORN WEBSITE.  I understand that ACORN doesn't have the rights to all seasons for some shows.  This is not my issue.  AFTER A YEAR THIS ISSUE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED, OR COMCAST SHOULD ADDRESS THE ISSUE WITH A DATE FOR RESOLUTION OR SHOULD CHARGE A LOWER COST.

I spent several hours going through the Comcast,ACORN on-demand listings and comparing them to the ACORN web listing.  Here is just a partial list of missing shows, seasons, episodes from on demand but listed as available on the web version:

LINE OF DUTY - Series 4 missing

POIROT: Acorn website shows Series 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 as available for viewing. But Comcast Acorn on-demand (48124 system) lists only Series 8 (only one show - 8.2 "Murder in Mesopotamia", is available, 8.1 "Evil Under the Sun" is not), and Series 11 available for viewing. Classics listed on ACORN website as available such as "Death on the Nile", "Murder on the Orient Express", and "Evil Under the Sun" aren't available on demand.

THE BROKER'S MAN - entire show missing

ABOVE SUSPICION: Website shows Series 1, 2 available. Comcast on-demand only has Series 1.

MURDER IN SUBURBIA: Two 6-episode series on ACORN website (confirmed on imdb).

The Comcast on-demand program detail for MURDER IN SUBURBIA:

Series One:  Episode 1.2, 1.2 (listed twice), 1.5 (missing episodes 1.1, 1.3, 1.4, 1.6)
Series Two:  Episode 2.1, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 (missing episodes 2.2, 2.6)

How can any customer could be expected to experience anything but frustration trying to watch this show on Comcast?

FIELD OF BLOOD:  Entire show missing

There are many more missing progam issues but this should give you an idea.  I have contacted ACORN several times and have been told that they are looking into it with Comcast.

I am a fan of ACORN and have supported them in the past.  Given the threat that BRITBOX is to them for the ANGLOPHILES in the US and beyond, I'm frankly surprised that this issue hasn't been resolved over the past year.  I'm days away from cancelling the subscription on Comcast.

It must be a regional thing because I just checked all of the series you noted and my Acorn subscription through Comcast has every one of them and all eps/series. How strange....
