I moved into a new apartment complex. I don’t understand why I was charged for an installation fee but the FREE self-installation kit was not offered. I already had a router but the worker unnecessarily gave me a brand new router. Nowhere on the website is there a disclaimer stating that newly built dwellings are disqualified for FREE self-installation kits. Neither does the website say customers in newly built dwellings automatically get slapped with a $70 fee.
Update...just received a call from a Rep who said that I will be charged $250 fee, if I don’t return the old router. Lovely customer service from Comcast (sarcasm).
Why should I have to waste gas to drive to a Comcast store to return the old router because one of your workers unnecessarily gave me a brand new router?! And, I have to pay 70 dollars for this “installation service”.
