Billing is going up too rapidly

Hi.  We have been Comcast subscribers for as long as Comcast has been available in Rochester.  This year our bill went up suddenly over $30/month (+fees, etc) and is becoming unmanageable.  We are senior citizens and cannot afford an ever escalating bill.  We really need the Internet (at decent speeds) because I sometime teach online, and we use the INternet constnatly.  We we don't need is all of the Sports programming, which we rarely if ever watch, but are always required to get it in order to get other cable services.  Meanwhile there are great promotional offers available to those who are "new" customers, but there is no reward to those of us who have been customers for years.  I need to get our bill down, or I will be forced to find another service provider.  Please help!!!
