Connect App error 102902

On my iPhone 6 I try to call a number from the connectApp but I get the error 102902 (unable to make a call...)
A workaround I tried was instead of placing a regular call, I placed a video call. That changed the dot next to my number from red to green. Then I was able to place regular calls. I hope this helps someone else who struggled with this.
Xfinity please correct this bug in the application!

That did not work for me. The app is working on my samsung galaxy s6 phone, but not working on my ipad air 2.
