Connect App emails no longer display images

About a couple of weeks ago, I noticed all emails I opened in the connect app wouldn't display matters worse, everytime I click "show image" in email, I am sent to url "about:blank"...have attempted to delete app,empty cache and reinstall, with no luck. This an issue only on my Samsung Galaxy 2 Tablet, not Samsung Galaxy III phone. Any tips?

I have the same problem.  Images inside emails are not displayed (esp from amazon).  This problem is consistent whether I am using the Connect App or logging in on current versions of Chrome AND Firefox ....   I have checked every setting I can find to display pictures or HTML with zero luck....   And I have searched the forums and Support to no avail.  :-(
