Can you block text messages from being sent to your home phone number if you're using the Xfinity Connect app on your Smartphone?

I would suggest you contact Comcast Customer Service regarding this request and ask them.  I advise that because I myself do not know the answer and even though I am a heavy user of the Connect App and its features I have not see or found a way to do what you are asking.  I do know that on the page whose link I will include in this post it states that texting is automatically activated will be automatically activated as part of the process of selecting if you want outbound and inbound calling active on the Voice2Go feature of the Connect App.
