I downloaded Norton Internet Security from the Comcast/Xfinity website to my 2015+ Macbook Pro.
Everything worked fine at first, including the Clean option. Then, at one point (may be after a dozen times), the Clean option crashed when I tried to use it. And, it has crashed everytime since also. I have removed and re-installed the Norton Internet Security, but the same problem persists. Clean immediately crashes when I try to use it. All the other Norton Internet Security options work fine. Any suggestions?
(I went to the Symantec website first, but could not find this particular product (Norton Internet Security) listed anywhere, so I was unable leave a question there.)
Have you updated to version 7.7? It appears it includes some bug fixes for Clean:
I have also installed Norton Internet Security on my wife's newer macbook, and it is working fine.
Would anyone know if there is there a more thorough uninstall than the basic one for macs? I did the basic drag the app from Apps and drop it in Trash. Possibly there's a more thorough uninstall. (I will also try the Apple forums.)
Also, would anyone know where I can post these questions on Symantec? As I mentioned earlier, I could not find this particular product - Norton Internet Securiy - in their support or forums sections.
Please see the following post for the extended removal:
Also you can post on the Norton Forums - Norton for MAC Board at the following link:
Hope this helps.
