I downloaded Norton, but too many licenses - The previous computer died - how do I free the licence

My computer died.  I was unable to free the license.  Now when I downloaded Norton, is said no keys avalable, and takes me to the Norton website to enter a key.  Previously, this step took me to Comcast, to select one to free, but that did not happen. How do I fix this.

Hi cdoughty,

The following instrujctions shojuld guide you through the inital installation of Norton fro Comcast on your new system:

There is no "key" involved - Comcast's Norton uses a "PIN" for activation.  It sounds like you downloaded a retail copy of Norton.

You are corrct, once you exceed 7 installations of Comcast version, it should ask which system to delete.

how do you edit the licenses when you can't reinstall norton on your computer.  i have used norton ever since I started using comcast as my internet provider and probably have long forgotton computers occupying licenses when they no longer exist.  There has to be some place to edit the licenses associated with your account.

Sorry mare4christ,

Once you exceed 7 installations of Comcast version, it should ask which system to delete.  The list will only be shown when you attempt the 8th installation.  Untill you reach that many installaions, there is no way to see or edit the list.
