Wifi Password Issues

I am at wits end with changing my network's password. I have updated the password in the app, twice. The modem does not recognize the change, despite the app saying it has changed. I attempted to access the gateway, changed my admin password, and now the gateway will not allow me as it does not recognize the new password. I can still access my internet using the old password and have tried restarting the modem to receive the new password. No luck, and I am now unable to access the gateway as well. OH and the xfinity app also wouldn't let me login while connected on wifi.

@user_df6e52  Thank you for bringing your concerns regarding updating your Wireless network's password to our attention here at the Xfinity Community Forums. It sounds like this has been quite a frustrating experience and I'm so sorry that it's taken multiple attempts to update the network password without success on the Xfinity app.

I would like to look into this further and see if we are able to assist you with updating the gateway settings from our end. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?


To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3EqVMu7

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
