Weak Router
I have only been an Xfinity customer since August, so I am still learning. I have notice I do not have near the coverage area outside that I had before with a modem and Linksys WiFi router. If I am out in the garage, which is attached to the house, I sometimes do not have a signal and the phone goes to my phone's 5g. What can I do to boost the signal?

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods, powerline ethernet adapters, MoCA adapters. Good luck !

Yeah. Their rented gateway devices are notorious for weak output / poor range. You may want to try using their pods / WiFi extenders. Depending on your speed plan you may be able to get one for free after the connection quality is tested;

If not for free, you may elect to purchase one or more;

There are other popular third party brands.
