Xfinity streaming app

Xfinity streaming app won’t open. Purple screen with three dots flashing constantly.

user_8a09s8, Thanks so much for reaching out to Xfinity Support. I know that has to be frustrating when your streaming app won't open. I would recommend force-closing the app and also restarting your device. If the app is still not working, please let us know, so we can assist you further.

I am so surprised that Comcast, a high-tech company, would release such a poor quality streaming app and charge us premium prices for it. I stopped by my local Xfinity store and even they said they have been getting a lot of complaints about the poor quality app. The app keeps freezing, losing video, but has audio, or just kicks me out all the time. I use an AppleTV and all of the other apps on the AppleTV work fine, only the Xfinity app keeps failing.

longmuirj I use the Stream app while at home all the time. While moving around the house doing chores, my mobile device is always playing a show. I do not run into any issues on my end. The Stream app does depend on your home/wifi connection, and if that is not working as it should, that can cause issues while using the app. Have you by chance, used our Xfinity assistance to help troubleshoot the Xfinity Stream app issues?
