why does the xfinity stream beta app on my roku devices not allow me to log in? App is not working properly

Why does the xfinity stream beta app on my roku devices not allow me to log in? I cannot view live tv. All I see is (Error: TVAPP-00500). When I attempt to log in, I get a message to go to xfinity to authorize. After I type in the authorization code I get a terms and conditions screen. I accept and then it says congratulations log in was successful. I did not get the option to type in my user name and password to login, so I do not have full access to my xfinity stream purchase. On my roku television and roku box, I only have access to Xfinity streams free content. Xfinity stream is working on my laptop and cell phones but not my roku streaming devices. I can only view live tv on my cell phone or laptop. If issue is not resolved, I will be cancelling streaming services. This was the sole purpose of my purchase. To be able to watch live tv on my TV. Please fix this issue so that me and any other customer having this issue can enjoy what we are paying for.
