When go to “All Chanel’s” why do I have to start at Ch. 2 every time....?

Basically When I'm watching a channel I go to my guide why you have to start at channel 2 every single time?  Why can't I get it to work like the on screen guide on my home TV and pick up at the channel that I am currently viewing?  Maybe I'm just not very smart and can't figure it out.   Any help much appreciated.   Thank you.
