Bug in Requesting Text Message Updates During Service Outage

During a recent service outage, the MyAccount Android app invited me to sign up for text message updates regarding the outage. But the dialog to sign up for text messages was flawed. It asked me if I wanted Xfinity to send text messages to Yes or No. Selecting No should have offered me an option to select or for me to enter a differrent telephone number. Instead, selecting No simply aborted the request for text message updates. Why would the app ask if I want it to send text messages to my home telephone number?
