Visual VoiceMail

We are having an issue with one of our mobile iPhone's visual voicemail.  We were on the phone with Xfinity and were able to get the voicemail working again after it had quick again, but the visual voicemail is still a no go even after a factory reset.  Instead of the voicemail coming in we get a VZWVVM:Sync text.  Looking at previous post they mention the backend system needing to be switched from Android to iOS.  I mentioned these text to the support rep but they didn't seem to know anything about them even though they were the advanced team.  Is there anything I can try or do to get this escalated to someone who can help?
