trade in old iPhone

I just purchased a new iPhone XS from Xfinity. When I did so I was told that I would receive something that would allow me to trade in my old iPhone 8. When I received the phone, there was nothing in it about getting a trade in value for my old phone. How do I do this? Do I have to go to my local Xfinity store?

Hello jwkob,

Thank you for posting on the forums and my apologies for the information you mentioned not received.  This is a great question and I’d love to provide some valuable information on how you can trade-in an eligible device through Xfinity.

Just to provide some clarity on your statement, you are asking about the trade in value of an iPhone 8 based off your recent purchase of an iPhone XS?  If so, we currently do not offer any tie-in promotions for a trade-in.  In your reply, please elaborate on your understanding of the information you were provided while purchasing your device.

Regarding the process of trading in a currently owned device I will provide a link that will further explain your options, but briefly, you have two ways you can initiate a trade in: you can either go to an Xfinity retail store or if you’d prefer, you can contact an Xfinity Mobile specialist at (888) 936-4968.

I hope this has answered your question.  If there is anything else that I can do to help with your inquiry into a trade-in or trade-in value, please don’t hesitate to post.

Jared
