new modem CGM4140COM

New Modem CGM4140COM. Cannot change settings in Says to use the app? What if I'm using a desktop and don't what to use a phone, by the way, you can't change settings in the app as well.

If I read it correctly the Xfi will choose what it thinks best, really. What if my devices are older and will not connect to 5Ghz? On that topic, some of my wireless will not connect to the new modem?

"Thinking" for the individual may be fine for "finger painters" but not for others that may want to re-configure the modem setting to work with their network. 

Will this be corrected with a fix?
