xfiity email app & samsung phone

I completed the set up of my xfinity email via the xfinity email app, which was successful. Then I restarted the app I recived a notification that my current version was out of date and was instructed to update on the play store.

Once updated a seem to be able to access my account info etc... but when I attempt to access my email I recieve a time out error.

I have removed and reinstalled/set up the android app but still receive time out errors.

The Xfinity email app was eliminated several years ago. Did you mean the Samsung email app? If so, does https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/samsung-modern-authentication help? 

"Check email" in the Xfinity app is not really an email app, it's shortcut to opening https://connect.xfinity.com in the device's web browser.
