Cable Box

Having chronic issues with remote lag time, rewind & fast forward functions not working (often says not available) and screen freezing. Have performed all the recommended xfinity work arounds to no avail. 

My cable box is a XG2v2-P installed in 2021. My TV is a LG OLED65GXPUA. xfinity recently sent the X8 modem which is now operating. 

Is there not an updated cable box with current software that can correct these deficiencies and complement the capabilities of my TV?
