Audio muted for live music

When watching a show, the normal dialogue is ok but when live music is played it is very muted. If I change audio settings to stereo from Dolby it sounds louder but now I don’t have surround.   What is the correct setting to fix this?

Hello @user_f8483r

  1. Balance the box and TV volume:
    • Access the TV Adapter's or TV Box's main menu.
    • Select Setup.
    • Select Audio Setup.
    • For the Set volume to optimal stereo option, select Yes to automatically adjust the volume to the optimal level for stereo output.
      • Note: If you select No, your current volume settings will be retained.
  2. It may be necessary to repeat this procedure several times.
  3. You can also press Mute on the TV Adapter remote or TV Box remote and try to get sound through the TV.
  4. If a DVD player or VCR is on, turn it off when not in use.

Tips:

  • If the volume is controlled through the TV Adapter or TV Box, do not adjust the TV volume setting moving forward.
  • If the volume is controlled through the TV, do not adjust the TV Adapter or TV Box volume setting moving forward.
  • Always verify that the box and TV volume are properly balanced (especially when recording).
