Xfinity COAX cable destroyed my TV Equipment
There was a lightning strike issue grounding the cable service line to my home. Massive outages that took days to recover cable service. However power was restored & we still had no service. We replaced the cable receiver, replaced the coax, switched out HDMI, everything. Turns out Xfinity does not bother to put SURGE PROTECTION AT THE WALL COAX OUTPUT SO THE LIGHTNING CAME FROM THE CABLE COAX TO THE CABLE BOX TO THE HDMI INPUTS IN MY EXPENSIVE TV RENDERING IT WORTHLESS! Thank goodness I didn’t have valuable stereo equipment like a lot of customers I have seen on this forum. My X1 modem is still working somehow but I’m sure they put surge protection there to maintain some of their [Edited: Language] equipment. I will be filing complaints with the BBB and hiring an attorney just out of principle. I live in an area where this is our only service option. I’ll also have our township involved. Truly disgusting oversight. [Edited: "Soliciting"]. I have had enough!
