Heads up - scam "Xfinity" emails on the rise

Hi. For those who may not know about this stuff... I have gotten a few emails in the last few days, which on the surface appear to be from Infinity. but are really not. Things like:

You have a new readable voicemail from (530) 885-****  -- PLAY MESSAGE

It’s time to update your Xfinity account --  CLICK HERE TO UPDATE NOW!

And so on. They come with clickable links, and try and make you think they are legit emails from Xfinity, but again - they are not. If you HOVER over the link, you will see it is not a legit Xfinity address, and if you look at the "from" address (where the email was sent from), you will see they are not coming from a valid Xfinity address. They are usually going to be from gmail or yahoo.

DO NOT CLICK ON ANY OF THESE LINKS. Doing so opens your computer to malware, viruses, and ransomware. Just delete the email.

Anything Email related gets dumped right away. Since the Citrix bleed, trust nothing. and i mean nothing.. If you have to put a credit freeze with the 3 majors, do it.. It is well know what happened.

If you have been using a third party email app like Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc, and haven't signed in to webmail in the last 90 days, your email may be closed.  I suggest you head over to webmail and sign in.

I received an email from [Edited: "Personal Information"] to my account. This person might not even know her email address is being used. This is a scam. If you receive this delete it. Do not click on the link and report this to Xfinity (Comcast).  The content of the email is this:

SUBJECT: Important message from Comcast July 13, 2025 From: No Reply (her email address hidden) To: my email address

XFINITY

My husband has received email and text stating that our Internet is going to be shut down for non payment, but when we login to our account, it shows that we are current.

If you guys had a data breach - why on earth weren't we notified???
