My condo is changing internet services away from comcast internet. I still want to use my comcast email and want to make sure none of my emails get deleted or that my email account doesn't gets deleted. Will the service switch effect my ability to use my @comcast.net email address?

@user_0l4xv9 Thanks for taking the time to post here on Forums, I am glad you're wanting to continue use of our email service.

If you signed in to your Xfinity Email account within 90 days before canceling your service, you can continue to access your Xfinity (comcast.net) email address. However, to keep the account active, you must sign in at least once every 24 months. Accounts that remain inactive for more than two years may be closed. To avoid permanent shutdown, be sure to log in before the inactivity period expires.

It shouldn't.  Be advised, however, that Comcast is transitioned all email addresses to Yahoo! Mail.  Right now it's optional, but will eventually become mandatory; if you don't migrate to Yahoo! Mail you will lose your comcast.net email address.

Hi @user_dev51v, and thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Forum. You can find your older Comcast emails by checking your Inbox and Sent folders, as messages there aren’t automatically deleted.

For Spam and Trash, keep in mind spam is deleted after 7 days and trash after 14 days. If something was deleted, you can recover emails within 30 days by signing in to your Xfinity Email, right-clicking the Trash folder, and selecting Recover Deleted Items.

You can find more information with our helpful article: https://www.xfinity.com/search?q=find+old+comcast+emails&page=1

Let us know if you have any questions, as we’re happy to help!
