Packages stolen and my 24/7 video was wiped

How can someone so easily rob my porch and wipe my camera? The camera caught the delivery of the packages, but nothing on the theft. 
if this is possible on your sustem, I’m wasting my money. 

I called to chat with 2 agents, both left me hanging with no reply about how this happened.

I was contacted the next day by an XFINITY employee who helped me to access and download the video, which has been forwarded to the police. He was very patient and helped me to understand my system better. He even helped me to develop a plan to prevent thefts in future. 
He was knowledgeable and supportive. 
I felt much better after our interaction.
