Xfinity ignored 811 request and buried line was damaged - impossible to get Xfinity to schedule a repair.
An 811 Miss Dig Request was placed with the State of Michigan for an underground drainage system installation for our home on 5/27/26.
The legal start date per Miss Dig was 6/1/26. Xfinity/Comcast ignored the 811 Miss Dig request and did not mark any of the their lines. I called Miss Dig on 6/2/26 and was assured that someone on behalf of Xfinity would come mark the buried lines. The drainage contractor called Miss Dig on 6/3/26 and was again assured that someone on behalf of Xfinity would come mark the buried lines.
We started the project on 6/5/26 in the specified excavation area and on 6/6/26 a buried and UNMARKED Xfinity coax cable was damaged by the drainage contractor.
Both myself and the drainage contractor attempted to notify Xfinity on 6/8/26 to repair the buried coaxial cable as it is impacting our service.
Xfinity has been impossible to communicate with and sends us to an offshore call center who does not seem to understand what we are saying. I am very frustrated by Xfinity’s negligence in not marking the lines and making it impossible to schedule a repair. I am now finding out that Xfinity routinely ignores these requests and the State of Michigan has been trying to go after them.
I need help getting the damaged buried line fixed.
