right of way
A contractor from Comcast showed up on our property yesterday digging a trench from a pole to set a power unit in our yard. There was no advance notice of this and I never signed an agreement with Comcast giving them an easement or right of way on my property. The power supply/transformer they set is clearly out of the power companies right of way also. Who do I contact to find out who authorized this and to get it moved.

Comcast or one of its contractors dug up part of my front yard to bury a fiber line that I did not request. They also ran it to the wrong location on the house, since my Comcast equipment is located around back, not at the front corner where they placed the line.
I’m trying to determine who authorized the work, whether it was done under a permitted easement/right-of-way, and who at Comcast or the city/county can require the yard to be restored and the line corrected. Has anyone had success getting Comcast to respond or relocate improperly placed equipment/lines?
