Offer is not what we were told it will be
In February my husband and I called planning to cancel our service due the rising cost. The customer service agent offered us some very good deals to keep us as a customer. He quoted us a lower cost for the cable and internet. We spent several hours on the phone, several times he said he needed to call us back, and he did. Although I thought it was strange however he kept calling us back and at one point spoke to a woman about verifying information. He offered us two free apple watches and said all we had to pay was for the shipping, and I said I do not want one I had one and did not like it, my husband already has an apple watch and he did not want one either, this man insisted we should take them since they were free, so we did ( in the background i told my husband this sounds like a scam, he said it cant be we initiated the call) We also have our cell phone service through you company which were were not asking to that rate lowered, however he told us we can get a lower rate of 20.00 per phone for a certain amount of time so we agreed to that ( I am still thinkin this is a scam) In a few days we got the watches. The day after speaking to him all of our cable boxed got disconnected we called and they told us the service had been disconnected and a new account had been opened, we were not aware he was doing this. All our bills are automatically charged to us with paperless billing, it took us till May to have the time to figure out our billing was not what we were told it would be, we are getting billed 10.00 per month for each watch and the price of the cell phone plan was not what we discussed either. We do not want to pay monthly for these watches that we did not want. We called and spoke to customer service and did not get any help, there was a post conversation survey that we left a negative comment. Later on that day we got a call from Youssef Tork from Express Medallia we spoke to him for almost an hour explaining the situation. He told us we can send the watches back and we wont be charged monthly for them, we have an email from him giving the address <Edited: "Personal Information"> I did not feel comfortable shipping these back without some sort of label or paperwork to send with them, so instead I took them into the local store. They said it has been over 60 days and we cannot return them, they did not know anything about Express Medallia and told me my options are cancelling the watch service which in turn we will have to pay 600.00 for the watches, or just keep paying the monthly fee. They also admitted the people that work customer service on the phones make offers just to get a new sale, that was against policy to set us up a new account just to get free stuff and better deals. We have been comcast customers since 2004 and we did not ask for any of this to happen. I want to return the watches and stop the fees. Please advise me on how to handle this, the manager at the local office said there is no one higher up that can accommodate me even though in the end I feel this was a scam and inside type of scam that he knows takes place frequently.
