How Bridge Mode

Hello,

I attempted to follow the instructions found from a post 5 months ago to do this.

  1. Connect a device directly to the gateway using Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

  2. Open a browser and go to http://10.0.0.1

  3. Log in with the username admin and password password (unless you’ve changed them).

  4. Navigate to Gateway > At a Glance

  5. Select Enable Bridge Mode, then save your changes.

at 10.0.0.1 I am met with the following message:

Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever. To manage your gateway settings and other features, please download the Xfinity xFi app.

I cannot find anywhere in the Xfinity app that allows me o make this change.

Can anyone help, please?

Hello @user_txlk6a, thank you for taking the time to leave a post.  I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble enabling Bridge Mode. Let’s walk through the steps together: Open the Xfinity app and go to the Wi-Fi tab. Select View Wi-Fi Equipment, then open Advanced Settings. Choose Admin Tool Online Access and slide the toggle to Allow Admin Tool Access. Tap Save.

Once that’s complete, you can open your browser and go to http://10.0.0.1/ to access the Admin Tool and enable Bridge Mode. When you’re done, return to the app and disable Admin Tool access for security. If you run into any issues along the way, please let us know.
