De-register modem, Xfinity Stream “in-home WiFi” not recognized

So, I used the Xfinity assistant to start a chat with an agent who said they deleted my old modem off of my account and that it should fix issues with Xfinity “services,” like I noted when first responded to what I needed help with… specifically Xfinity Stream seeing my new modem and WiFi name that’s registered with Xfinity as not my in-home WiFi… I just checked the internet support page on my account to see that my old modem is still showing as part of my active equipment and I am still unable to watch any in-home WiFi content on Xfinity Stream. So, neither of my issues were resolved… can anyone here help me out asap, I’ve had this issue for almost two weeks now. Thank you
