Coax Outlet Not Working

I am renting an apartment and recently hooked up my own router/modem with Xfinity. The router works when connected to the coax outlet in my bedroom but doesn't connect to the internet when connected to the coax in my office, where I'd like to move my router. My complex's maintenance team looked at it and directed me to contact Xfinity as they said physical connections look good. Can I schedule a technician to troubleshoot the issue, or are there other avenues I should take first? Thanks!

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here in the Digital Care team. You have reached the Xfinity experts who can certainly assist you with your connection related concerns. There is a chance that the additional outlet you are attempting to connect is either a bad connection port or is not currently turned on. This is definitely something a technician would be able to look at and test in person. You can also test it on your end if you have the proper equipment.

Thanks! What would it take to schedule a technician to look at it? Or, what equipment would I need to test it on my end?

No problem @user_d70cda, there is a specific coax testing tool you could use, however if you don't already have one there is no reason to have you spend money on something you may never use again. Let's see if we can get a visit set to have a technician come review your location. Please send us a private message with your full name and complete service address to get started.
