El Rey Network shutting down on December 31, 2020.

Latest bill states that El Rey Network will cease operations on December 31, 2020. I guess I'll have to find somewhere else to watch cheesy KungFu movies!

It folded.

From Wiki:

On November 6, 2020, Univision announced it had sold its stake in El Rey as it dealt with its private equity takeover. [22] The lack of a carriage partner led to Rodriguez announcing on December 8 the network would cease operations in its current form on December 31, 2020. He also said he would likely relaunch the network as a digital-only brand.[23] According to the network's online schedule, the final program to air was Lucha Underground episode "Pet Cemetery", which ended at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, 2:59 a.m. Eastern

I posted about it here. I had 'bumped' it with a post to move it up so people would notice it, but it looks like a mod removed the bump so it got rehidden several pages down.

@andyross Even if it was pinned at the top posters never see or read it.  It's one reason why we move lots of posts into "megathreads".
