I apologize Leeroy61, after reading the above steps I noticed I forgot a step, because when arming away, the system will default to arm stay if you don't open the door while it is arming to simulate you are leaving. I've made the correct to the steps to take when arming below.
1.) Arming the system away
2.) Open a door while it is arming
3.) Wait 5 seconds and close the door.
4.) Let the system finish arming down.
To test this is resolved:
5.) After it shows armed away, wait at least 2 minutes and walk in front of the motion sensor, this should trigger your alarm which can be immediately cancelled by entering in your Master Code.
Looks like my issue has been resolved - It all was resolved when Comcast removed all the "apps" from the Touch screen - Voicemail, Puzzles, News, Etc.. Maybe it was causing too much of a delay, but I am fixed.... keeping fingers crossed!
I don't know which camera model I have, but I also don't have the camera option under Rules.
Can you help? The camera was installed yesterday (12/17/2015).
I called XHome and they said I had the 300 system and needed to pay an extra $6.95/mo for the 350 system which includes recording and saving video.
On the Overview page there is a link "Return to Previous Version". Use this to get to the previous version of the rules editor which should have the features you mention. We are working on parity+ with the new version, but are not yet there. Appreciate your patience!
If you go to the Automation tab of the home.xfinity.com portal and click to Create a new rule, you should be able to accomplish setting up a rule to send you a message if the door is open between certain times by clicking...
Doors --> (select your back door) --> To Send E-mail (select your e-mail) --> When it remains open --> Between time (select 12:00 to 12:30) --> (choose days of the week and security mode) --> Save.
