How do I recover email and folders mistakenly deleted?
For information on the "Recover Deleted Items" feature, see here---------
Note that this only works with emails themselves, not folders. Did you check the Trash folder to see if the messages are still in there? They should be if you deleted them less than two weeks ago.
I'm having issues trying to keep an HTML table contained to the width choosen. <table width="505"></table>. Thunderbird contains it's width as long as the window is narrow, but will stretch the table out based on how wide you have your email client stretched out. I tried a <div></div> container around the table, no help.
Any tricks or tips would be appreciated.
OK. I found a solution to my concern.
What I discovered was I had pasted an entire HTML coded page into the signature area. <html><head><head><body><table>(all my table stuff here)</table></body></html>.
What I did in order to successfully make my signature work with html links and images was to simply paste only the TABLE, NOT the entire HTML code.
I used style="" in all my table containers such as <td style="display: block; width:200px; height:25px; border-collapse: collapse; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; padding: 0px; margin: 0px;"></td>. Worked like a champ in gmail, Xfinity webmail, Thunderbird, Apple mail (both Iphone and desktop).
Hope this helps anyone using a html table for their signature.
I have seen several posts about missing e-mails and I am also missing many old e-mails and all my stored folders. Has anything been/being tried to recover these? Can someone from comcast get us an update? Anyone hear anything different besides what I was told that there was nothing the help center could do, they are all gone?
Comcast should offer a way to do that, but they don't.
If it's only happening for one sender, Comcast Security Assurance might be able to help. Give them a call at 1-888-565-4329 (from http://constantguard.comcast.net/help/report-abuse/). Note that this is NOT one of the general customer service numbers. The first-line reps there are sometimes not very helpful. If so, be persistent, and keep at them until you get a satisfactory answer.
Otherwise the only thing you can do is turn off spam filtering completely so that everything they deliver is placed in the Inbox. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/spam-filters-and-email-blocking or https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/spam-filters-and-email-blocking-new-experience shows where to find the setting.
I am trying to delete an unused email account from the mail server?
Assuming you mean a secondary Comcast account, -------------------
Sign into your Primary account, then on the landing page click on Users at the top. You should see the list of accounts you have. To the right click on Edit. On the next page, under the account name, you should see the options to Suspend or Remove the account.
How do I get the address book to start with first names as the Contact field?
When in the address book, click on the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page, then on Settings. Under "Display of names" you will see the options to choose either first or last name.
Well here's a doozy of a problem... Could just be entirely a Microsoft Issue, but I thought I would reach out to some of the smartest people that I know of. Okay, using Office 2016 on my PC, fully licensed copy, after a document is typed select to send as an attachment via email, Word keeps telling me there is no email program associated with it and calls it a MAPI error. Have gone round and round with Microsoft and just not getting anywhere... Any ideas/suggestions? I am loathe to go into the system registry and start editing it, but I guess if that's what it takes, then so be it. Thanks for listening, appreciate all the ideas and suggestions that I've read on here, y'all are great (and funny at times too! )
Well, it turned out it is a Microsoft word problem... It seems that in their infinite wisdom someone at Microsoft decided that it would be best to try to get people to buy their Outlook mail software or use another competitors product to send a Word Document. To quote from the very buried, very hidden steps in the operations for mail... Word Documents must be sent through a MAPI Certified program such as Outlook or Gmail. I chose instead to use Mozilla Thunderbird, it's a bit more complex and the learning curve has been steep at times, but I can send resumes out and thats what I needed. Thanks for all your help, Hope this helps others.
Is anyone else having problems with Firefox suddenly not loading pages?
Two evenings ago (March 8) Firefox suddenly started not loading pages about 80% of the time on all three of our PCs.I've noticed TLS messages in the lower left corner where Firefox displays the URLs it is loading that I never noticed before.
All three of our PCs are configured the same and we changed nothing on any of them before this started other than routine anti-virus and anti-malware updates. Visits to support forums for those products don't have any reports of problems like this.
We are in Baltimore County, MD.
Thanks for any input.
I can't either. Called Xfinity and someone in Advanced Repair Tier 3 was not able to help, and said it would be referred to engineers and could take several days. Completely unacceptable. Time to change companies.
