will Comcast work with Netgear N600 Wireless router?

I want to buy a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router.  I am currently using an old Motorola SB5101 cable modem.  I was just wondering will Comcast work with the new router?  Will I have to call Comcast to provide them any information (MAC address, etc.) about my new router?

Yes, no problem.

No. Just unplug the modem, hook up the router, and plug the modem back in.

Note that it is always necessary to reset the modem when you change the device it is connected to. For modems that don't have a reset button, just unplug for a few seconds.
