been useing socalled comcast high speed internet for over 7 years now and have been making complaints about diconects as long about disconnects at peak hours my thoughts on this is that there are too many subscrbers on my node and the genaric comcast response is that it's my modem ( I'm on my second modem with same results) I just signed up for net flix and noticed that had frequent pauses for content to catch up so I started to monitor my download spee and found that I had consistant speeds of below 800 kbs avg. is around 700 kbs. I would like to know if there is any remedation for this as I feel that I have never received the specified service. I have checked speeds at the modem with only 1 computer ol no router and no other programs downloading or acessing the internet other than windows internet explorer. some specs on modem
The signal levels you posted above look good and make me doubt that you have a ovem issue.
Can you run a traceroute to the Website that you are having a problem with?
The trace needs to be run during the time you are having difficulry with the site.
If you would copy and paste that trace back here in your thread one of the Smart Guys will give you a hand.
