Won't connect to what ? A router / gateway device or a plain cable modem ?

Sometimes certain devices will not connect depending on the type of wireless encryption.

you might have to change the encryption around to find one that works with all your devices.

for example you are using WPA2.. maybe that tablet wont work with that, try just WPA.

sometimes older computers cant connect to WPA2 for example.. or newer devices wont connect on WEP.

just a thought there are many different senarios, many different reasons why

My Motorola Xoom would connect but certain internet applications ran slow or had errors connecting to the servers.  I hooked my old Linksys router to the new Xfinity modem/router connected my tablet to the Linksys router and problems solved.
