new modem & router installation

i got new modem and wireless router today.which should i install first.old systm is working okay , so this an upgrade.

Install Modem first.

Then run an ethernet cable from the Modem to the WAN port of the Router (Internet port separate from the four LAN ports)

Finally connect your computers to the router Lan Ports and power up from the wall out.

Power up Modem first, then Router and finally the computers.

thanks ; thats clear . I toyed with the idea of setting up the new router/wireless with the old modem first. in the old days they got pretty complicated but no doubt easier nowdays.
