When I subscribed to comcast ,they set up my network. I assume the original password was changed, but have no record of it. My grandson tryed to add a video game box and My network key on the router wood not allow access.I know reset ing the router would return it to the original password but what else would it change or what would I loose. if your pc is still on the network, you can go to the router control page. I doubt they changed the default log in, because you would have already entered your password to be connected to the router so it should be

admin

password

In there you can find the actual password to your network. Hope this helps

Browse to http://192.168.0.1 or the Comcast supplied one is http://10.0.0.1

The default user name is admin and the default password is password. Obviously if the user name and password were changed, then these won't work. You'll have to either get them from Comcast or reset the device to factory defaults and re-start configuring from scratch.

Re-read the thread ? It may be on a sticker on the bottom if it is a CC supplied device.
