You STILL didn't answer my question! I heard you the first time about leased equipment. Answer why my personal IP address is showing up on the Xfinity hotspot on the available networks if what you say is true!!

Please disable my xfinifty wifi hotspot.

 

I have been trying for days, but I keep getting this: "Error occured while saving XFINITY WiFi preference."

Can you enable my wifi hotspot please. I spoke to phone support (1 week ago) and they told me it's on. I can't see xfinitywifi but i do see a hidden network on the same channel as my personal Wifi network .. I assume that's it but the SSID is not showing. I have the DPC3941T.

I believe the DPC3941 does not have hotspot capability at this time.

Hello 

 

I pulled your account and I found that you don't have one of our Wireless Gateways active as an Internet modem. I do see you have one but only used for Digital Voice services as an eMTA

 

The Motorola SB6120 listed on your account does not have Xfinity Wi-Fi Hotspot capabilities.

Xfinity WiFi Class Action

So much for all those who claim you cant sue Comcast, and are forced to seek abitration only.

 

A Federal lawsuit was recently filed in CA, and is seeking Class Action status.

Hello .. I have now also problems with my WiFi. Can someone please turn off this 3rd Channel on 2.4 GHz , the hidden one ? xfinitywifi is fine with me and my own but this hidden channel just came up yesterday and is messing with my WiFi here at home. Thanks.

I think one reason they don't give identifier numbers to xfjnity WiFi is because you could prove with certainty your home signal is being used as a hotspot slowing down your connection without your permission.

I need some help with this 3rd Wifi Signal with the hidden SSID on CHANNEL 6 coming from the DCP3940T. 

 

My own network and Xfinitywifi is getting dropped sometimes .. this hidden SSID is stronger than the other two .. I saw that this was a problem can someone please turn off the RADIO of this hidden network. Thanks a lot !!!

Please turn off my Xfinity hotspot.  The link to turn it off only give me an error message.

Woke up a 6 this morning to find a tweeker in my front yard using the XfinityWiFi hotspot, that I was unknowingly broadcasting from my house.  He said he had a right to be there since he was just using the free XfinityWiFi hotspot provided by Comcast.

 

It took me more then an hour to find how to turn it off.

 

I hope that that all Comcast employees are all required to broadcast Xfinity hotspots and the same type of people come visit them “to just use the free WiFi” in the middle of the night.

Can you please trun on the "xfinitywifi" hotspot ? I tried thru the portal but I'm getting an error message that the system is not available. My User ID is : KlausWolfBS

Please disable my public hotspot. I have tried to do it from my account and it says that I do not have the proper device even though on my equipment screen it shows Arris Interactive, L.L.C. tg862g.

I've been trying for a month to disable the hotspot and only get "We're sorry. Something unexpected happened. Please try again later.".  I have tried "later" on a regular basis and still can't turnit off.  Please help!

Thanks for all this info.  When the tech was out last week he said this wasn't on our new gateway because we were a residential customer.  Come to find out when I was adding anther device, it was on and I had no idea because the tech lied or was just misinformed.  The info provided here worked perfectly.  Thanks to all.

WIFI setting do not show up when I go to USER PREFERENCES

please remove Hotspot from my house. Wifi speed had deterioted dramatically since this "upgrade" I did not ask for

You can enable or disable your XFINITY WiFi Home Hotspot feature by logging into My Account and navigating to the relevant page: My Account > My Services > XFINITY Internet > Manage your home hotspot. See screenshots below.
