I just upgraded my modem with the TG1682G that was sent to me by Xfinity/Comcast. We have an Xbox One that is connected via WiFi about 1 room over from the modem and it is getting disconnected about every 30-60 minutes. When it gets disconnected, it can reconnect in just a few seconds. The WiFi doesn't seem to disconnect for any other device. For example, when the xbox got disconnected, there was a laptop in the same room viewing a live stream and it didn't get disconnected or interrupted. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try this: Log into your device and change the name of one of the networks. Doesn't matter if it's the 2.4GHz or the 5GHz network. The 5GHz network will probably be the better performer for you, so connect to that if possible. If you are still having issues, change the channel of the network. There are various network analyzers programs available to find the best channel, or you can just go with trial and error.
