When are we getting better upload speeds?

Question says it all.  You can't use 5Mbps upload speeds in 2017 for online backup which is becoming the norm.  I've called and called Comcast about this and I get no answer and they want me to pay $13 more a month just to get 10Mbps upload which is still terrible.  I know there are technical limitations to their network currently but they need to get this fixed.  It's absolutely absurd.

This will come if and when they deploy DOCSIS 3.1 / mid split / full duplex. Some info;
