Router/modem for Perf pro- want to add ooma telo or vonage

I have the perf pro and TV in NJ.

I have comcast provided router/modem installed, but I want to get my own to save monthly fees.

I like one unit, one thing to plug in, etc. (BUT I am open to seperate units if they work better)

I am looking for suggestions that can be used with ooma telo or vonage.

Thanks!

Log in or put in your zip and speed here:

https://mydeviceinfo.xfinity.com/

Keep clicking on "Show more" bottom of the page to see all devices.

Perf Pro would be 180/5 with overprovision so the min requirement would be 8 downstream channels. Basically the more downstream channels the better, so if your tier gets upgraded or you decide you want a faster speed, you would be more future proof. Top of the range would be a D3.1 gateway..

As far as I know just about any gateway or router will work with Ooma or Vonage since they connect by ethernet.

Personally I'd go with separate units modem and router.
