DO NOT PURCHASE an RCA Thompson DHG535-2 modem on ebay.  When I attempted to activate (provisiopn) the modem I purchased at ebay, I was informed that it was owned by Comcast and attached to an active account in Manchester MA.  I usually don't consider the worst first, however it appears to me that the seller is dealing in stolden goods.  How many more sellers of other products on ebay are dealing in stolden goods?

All. For that matter, never purchase any make/model of a cable modem on E-Bay least you may be buying a brick... Many of these show up in their database as being stolen and they won't provision them for service.
