Just upgraded to Blast internet and am getting 70-95mbps DL and 11mbps UL with the Comcast supplied modem.  Fantastic speeds.........but, my router is an old Netgear wnr1000 that comcast gave me years ago.......it maxes out at 20mbps on wireless speed to my laptop.  I think i need to upgrade my router to get closer to 70-95 on my laptop as well, right ?   If so, whats a good router to get...........

Just a minor point, be worth checking that your wireless card in the laptop is wireless "n" too, or it wouldn't matter what router you get.

the wireless on my laptop is only a g...........so, i disabled it and popped in a usb N adapter, works ok, BUT, again, still only 18 or 19 mbps DL speeds ............so, gotta be the modem (wnr1000) wireless signal can't go beyond 20mbps, right ?

Well, even that old router is rated wireless "n" 150, so you should get better wireless speed than that....In theory at least.

Check the settings in the router see if wireless "n" is enabled there.

I have the Cisco EA-4500 and I just upgraded to Blast here and going through the router with a G card in my laptop I only get like 22 down if I pop in my e2500 N network adapter using the 5 Ghz band my speed is full just like the desktop hard wired. G just cant keep up with N bottom line. Good Luck !!

Anything Cisco/Linksys branded is wonderful. I have the EA4500 (overkill) and can throw 100Mbps over wireless-N with the AE2500 dongle.

I just got the Linksys/cisco ea4500 router and upgraded my wireless card/adapter in my laptop to an Intel Centrino 6300 ultimate N  (cheap money on Ebay) and now my laptop gets the same speed as my wired desktop 75ish DL/ 11 UL with Comcast Blast !
