connect dvd through cable box

I have an older tv in kids play room, it has only the hook ups for cable on the back with no other hook ups anywhere on the tv. Is there anyway to run the dvd player straight through the cable box? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Re: connect dvd through cable box

Sorry, no, you would need to purchase either a A/B switch if your using coax between the equipment to the TV, or a video switch.

Depending on the TV, you might need a combo a/v switch that includes a modulator if the TV only has coax RF input.  Available at Radio Shack and Wal-Mart.  A switch like this would accept the coax from the cable box, the video from the DVD and send them to the TV on the RF input.
