Digital Converter Box

Do you have to have a digital converter box and digital adapters to receive basic and expanded cable tv service known as standard cable.

I am   NOT   talking about the boxes needed for the June 12th conversion.

Re: Digital Converter Box

Depending on you location, you may need a small converter box (DTA) to receive expanded basic channels.  Comcast is converting expanded basic (usually those analog channels beyond local) from analog to digital, but leaving the basic, primarily local, channels in analog.  The DTA will convert the digital channels to analog.  Comcast will provide up to 2 free DTAs plus a regular digital box if you don't already have one.
