DVR capability

When is comcast/Xfinity going to allow 3-5 programs to be DVR'd; like all your competition does?

Re: DVR capability

You seem to like tossing around the competitor phrase.  Again not all competitors can do that. Fios you can only record two things just like comcast.   When you get this service in your area you get more tuners.

And yet, strangely, you can still only record two programs at a time.

Re: DVR capability

Comcast cablecard in a Tivo. I have been recording 4 shows at a time for quite a while.

For now at least, that should change in the near future (sometime later this year or so most likely).

Re: DVR capability

It is far more likely that Comcast will be handing out 6 year old DVR's than something new and cutting edge. We have been waiting a long time, with only empty promises. The X1 is not ready for prime time.

Re: DVR capability

No need to get snarky. The 2 program DVR limit can be really annoying.

Is the Xfinity X1 format similar to the online capabilities of a smart TV or smart smart blu-ray player (Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, Youtube, etc.) ?

...  Our customers will get a significant benefit with one of our next updates, as we will double the number of programs customers can record on their DVR from two to four and enable them to watch and record up to five shows at the same time.  These updates, which will be enabled for all X1 subscribers later in May ...

Based on various posts in the X1 threads it looks like this feature has been activated this week actually.
