Cost of additional HD cable box?

I already have an HD Box in my family room and pay for the HD service, but I want to upgrade the box on the TV in my room from standard to HD.  I do not need DVR on the second TV, I just want access to HD channels since it is an HDTV.

Is there a cost associated with a second HD box?  Monthly or one time?

Did you read Jay's post from last April? It is right above yours.

Prices vary by market area so no specific pricing can be posted on the forum.

For subscribers paying the HD Technology fee, the price of a SD and HD box are the same.  It varies by area from 8.95 or slightly towards $10 a month rental fee.

You might find the price is the same for changing out a SD box for HD.  If you don't have a box on the second TV then the additional monthly box charge would apply.

You can stop by your local Comcast office to swap equipment or pick up additional equipment.
