Code for Coby TV model 1926 is 11265. Thanks Lmoose3!
This is a great little TV in my shower. But, the origonal Coby remote died. The Comcast remote works great for turning it on and off so I don't have to fiddle with buttons on the back while standing in water.
I don't have the Coby remote just the tv. It's just one thing that will not work, that ability to turn the tv off using the comcast remote. When I manually turn the tv on then the remote can change channels and adjust the sound ect... but not turn the tv off.
I am saddned that nobody in the who comcast family who doesn't have this setup and have the code to turn the tv off. Oh well what is is what is.
I don't think it make a difference which box you have - you're programming the remote - not the cable box. Sorry about linking you back to this thread - I did a google search on your TV and remote codes - this was the only hit - you may be stuck using 2 remotes.
You gave a link to this very same link. All those codes do not work.
Thanks for trying. My Comcast box is a high definition box that is a remote box. Not the big box but te little box wih a XR2 remote
So far in my search I have not found an exact match. I know sombody out there must have the same setup. A coby LCD TFT 19" 1923. And Comcast remote box that is high def. I actually am using the high def cable from the box to the tv. No matter which code I tried none worked. This is a straight tv with no DVD/Cassette attached. I tried the 991 code but it times out and starts changing channels without turning the tv off. So a little help would be appreciated.
Thanks Very Much to intrepid button-pusher Explorer DONSKI (05-23-2012), theONLY one who posted the code and the TV model/alternate manufacturer combination (Of course, GOLDSTAR... they make 80% of the electronics in S. Korea!!) which worked.
Guys, posts like, "Thanks! That worked on my TV!" are usually of more benefit if you tell us WHAT worked and WHICH (censored) TV/appliance/pacemaker you happen to be using!
The backpost is appreciated, but thank someone specific and include the unit information!
